Another T-Shirt

I created a few more shirts over the weekend. I decided to use a girl colored (pink) shirt this time. I already printed the design on a white and light gray shirts before.

The finished pink shirt is shown below and I think it looks good.

I'll experiment some more with different colored shirts. I bought the following colors already: light brown, yellow and light green. I'll post the finished shirts soon.

T-Shirt Printing (Finished Product)

I have started creating the DK Books and Other Stuff T-shirts for my kids (Click here for my test shirt). I'm showing how I did it.

1. This is the silk screen that I am using. I traced it from Daniel's drawing.
2. This is my 2nd silk screen that shows the DK Books and Other Stuff URL.
3. I placed the 1st silk screen on a new shirt.
4. I placed some acrylic paint on one side of the silk screen.
I'm also using a plastic spreader (or you can use a squeegee) to make the paint go through the silk-screen.
5. Here's how it looks like. I'm going to let it dry.
6. I also printed the same pattern on a gray shirt.
7. Close-up look at the print.
8. I'm using the 2nd silk screen next.
9. Used blue paint this time. Here's how it looks now.
10. The next step is to hand paint the parts. I used the gold color on the Jet Pack.
11. I painted the star yellow.
12. Nick (the guy wearing the jet pack) is wearing brown shoes
13. Blasting off..... I used the red color next.
14. Nick is wearing a blue jump suit.

This is the finished shirt. I'll be asking my kids to wear them later.

T-Shirt Printing

I have been thinking of creating a T-shirt for Daniel for quite some time now. I looked it up on YouTube and was able to find a way to do it. I tried to find one of Daniel's drawings that I can use and decided to use this one. I posted this banner back in November 2008 and I just used Nick (with the jetpack) and the star beside him.
I tested my screen print on an old shirt and hand-painted most of the pictures. Btw, the Baseball Fever is part of the old shirt and I didn't do that. Here's how the shirt looks like.
Daniel wanted the jetpack to be gold so I will use that color once I print this again on a new shirt. I will post the finished product once I get it done.
